If you received text messages from O’Reilly Automotive, it may be worth checking whether you qualify for a cash payment from a new class action settlement. Eligible Settlement Class Members who submit a valid claim could receive up to $22, although the final payment may be reduced depending on the number of approved claims.
The settlement involves Bryan v. O’Reilly Automotive, Inc., a case pending in the Circuit Court of the Thirteenth Judicial District in LaSalle County, Illinois. The lawsuit alleges that O’Reilly Automotive sent text messages to certain phone numbers that were on the National Do-Not-Call Registry and without the required consent.
O’Reilly Automotive denies the allegations and has not admitted wrongdoing. The settlement is a compromise intended to resolve the lawsuit, and the court has not made a determination about who was right or wrong.
Who may be eligible?
According to the settlement website, O’Reilly Automotive’s records indicate that you may be a Settlement Class Member if you received two or more text messages from O’Reilly Automotive after your phone number was assigned to you while the number was on the National Do-Not-Call Registry.
There is also an important restriction to keep in mind. The settlement website states that a claim may be denied if you made an online or in-store purchase from O’Reilly Automotive during the 18 months before the text messages. Be sure to review the official settlement information and the claim form carefully before submitting anything.
How much could you receive?
The advertised settlement payment is up to $22 per approved claimant. That does not necessarily mean everyone who files will receive $22. The payment can be reduced on a pro rata basis depending on the number of valid and approved claims.
Important deadline: Claims must be submitted online by Monday, September 28, 2026. If submitting by mail, the claim must be postmarked no later than September 28, 2026.
If you think you may qualify, you can review the official information and submit a claim directly through the settlement administrator. You are not required to purchase anything to submit a claim.

As always with settlements, take a minute to read the eligibility requirements before submitting. A settlement claim is not guaranteed to result in a payment, and the final amount can depend on the number of approved claims.
